Hemp is the most durable natural fiber. As a crop, hemp grows naturally without pesticides, and utilizes very little water. The long roots of the hemp plant prevent erosion and help retain topsoil. Hemp fabric resists mold. Hemp also offers UV protection.
Hemp fabric is commonly blended with cotton because of current manufacturing standards.
